The Be Active Kalamunda 50km Mountain Bike Challenge

This is the pinnacle event of the Specialized WA Enduro Series.

50 kilometres of Perth’s best trails with at least 50% single track, this event has been made with all the single track obsessed people in mind.

Weaving its way through the Perth hills, the course will be perfect for both avid mountain bikers and those just wanting to have some fun with friends.  Whatever your riding style, this event is lined up to be serious fun on course and off!

The Course

As promised here is the elevation chart for this years race.  We have thrown in a few changes from last year with the addition of a few more kilometres of new single track including, Mercury Street, Lancaster and Muffin Tops.  The course will be 52.8kms long and starts and finishes at Jorgensen Park in Kalamunda.  The course heads out to take in all parts of the Kalamunda Circuit near the Dell and Calamunda Camel Farm.

Entry

Enter the following categories, $80 for Open categories and $70 for Juniors.  $10 from every entry will go directly to WAMBA to build new trails on the Kalamunda Circuit.  Based on last years numbers this means that we will contribute over $3,000 towards the create trail network in Kalamunda!  This money will be presented at the race to WAMBA.

  • Solo Super Masters 50+

There will also be a race for juniors younger than 16 around a circuit at Jorgensen Park. Entries for this event will open soon. Entry will be $10 plus a $5 day licence for non members

ENTRIES CLOSE TUESDAY 12TH JUNE AT MIDNIGHT

All number plates will be available from Thursday night 14th June at Wembley Cycles. A BBQ will be held at the shop from 530pm so come along and grab your number plate and have a look around. It will make it much easier for you (and us) on Sunday morning.

If you are not a member of an MTBA club such as Perth Mountain Bike Club you will have to pay a $20 day licence. To become a member it is only $110 and is a great way to support the sport. Go to the club website www.perthmtb.asn.au and follow the prompts.
